CMIS automatically registers and pays the fee for grade 10 and 11 students to take the PSAT. The PSAT was administered to 95 students at CMIS yesterday.
The PSAT is a practice test for the SAT. It is also the qualifying exam for high scoring (top 1%) American passport holders who take the test in grade 11. PSAT scores are NOT sent to colleges and universities.
The SAT is an American college admissions test asked for by many colleges and universities in the US and elsewhere as part of the college application process.
It is the student’s responsibility to register and pay for the SAT which is offered a number of times each school year on Saturdays at CMIS. Grade 11 students are strongly advised to take the test at least once during grade 11. (Students can register for the test three times during a school year.)
