On Tuesday 26th, the Middle School and the High School each held an awards ceremony to recognize students who have distinguished themselves in athletics, leadership, the arts, and academics. An amazing 120 plus students were honored! The auditorium was packed with students, parents, teachers, and administrators who enthusiastically celebrated those students who have worked hard to achieve their personal best.
Of special note was the recipient of the inaugural Middle School Citizenship Award, Miss Brynne Wilson, who was recognized by her teachers as the middle school student who best exemplifies the attitude and behavior of a proactive citizen as she values academic excellence and applies her best efforts to learning, is active in the middle school community, and is a friend to her peers and an engaged, respectful presence in the classroom. Yay Brynne!
Another standout winner was the recipient of the Outstanding Senior Award, Miss Clara Scharfschwerdt, who was recognized by the Parent-Teacher Group (PTG) as the Senior student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, both academically and personally, during her years at CMIS. Way to go Clara!
Overall, both awards ceremonies were a resounding success and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to acknowledge the dedication of our CMIS students!
